I entered the Beadworkers Guild competition, the theme was ‘A Moment in Time’ so I created a necklace entitled’Romance ‘n’ the Stone’. I used ammonites to symbolise the moment I met my husband (who is a Geologist) in Colombia!

I visited Kiev’s third Hobby and Craft  Exhibition from the 24th to the 28th of February and it was fascinating. I was treated really well and I have made some new friends. I want to thank Urii for organising it so well, to Tatiana for translating  and helpnig me, to Natalia for being so nice and to the teachers who gave the classes. Ukranian people are fantastic in crafts and in the world of beadwork they are very talented. I will be posting some photographs soon.

I will be visiting them again in August, I have been invited to teach overthere for 3 days . I am grateful to them for giving me this amazing opportunity. Thanks Urii.

If anyone is interested in visiting Kiev with me,just let me know.

Join in the excitement of our first beading contest. The prize for the winner is a £25.00 gift certificate from my shop as well as the winning design appearing on this website. We want to showcase your talent. What better way to do it than to have a beading challenge? This competition is open to any beader and is for all abilities.

Techniques: Entries may be stitched, beadwoven, crocheted or combine multiple techniques to create your piece. Entries are to be original ideas, no size restrictions but they should contain more than 50 percent seed beads. It can be a wearable piece of jewellery or a 3D object.
